MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Manga Hotels is the winner of the 2017 Hilton Owner award for the Canadian Conversion Developer of the Year. The company won the award for two recent conversion projects in Toronto and Halifax — both of which are now under the Doubletree brand.

Manga to invest $300M in downtown Toronto hotels

MISSISSAUGA — From humble beginnings in 1986, when the Toor family acquired its first small hotel in St. Catharines, Ont., Manga Hotels has grown to include 16 hotels, with another one being acquired this month in Buffalo, N.Y., a Hilton Garden Inn now under construction, a Hyatt Place Toronto Airport in the pipe, and three downtown Toronto properties planned over the next few years.
