Manga to invest $300M in downtown Toronto hotels

MISSISSAUGA — From humble beginnings in 1986, when the Toor family acquired its first small hotel in St. Catharines, Ont., Manga Hotels has grown to include 16 hotels, with another one being acquired this month in Buffalo, N.Y., a Hilton Garden Inn now under construction, a Hyatt Place Toronto Airport in the pipe, and three downtown Toronto properties planned over the next few years.

Plan Reintroduces Condo-Hotel Concept at Jarvis and Shuter

A splash of colour is—for the second time—being proposed at the Downtown Toronto corner of Jarvis and Shuter. Following a submission in mid-2016, Manga Hotels have returned with an updated plan for the vacant lot at 203 Jarvis, which is being reimagined as a condo-hotel designed by Page + Steele / IBI Group Architects.

Hotel landscape changes at YYZ

Manga Hotels has acquired its newest hotel, the 489-room Crowne Plaza Toronto located at 33 Carlson Court in Toronto. It was formerly owned by Royal Equator, which worked with Colliers to quietly sell off its three Canadian properties.
